Printed Blouse

Faux Fur Coat - Topshop
Printed Blouse- Rokit
Leather trousers- H&M
Boots-Topshop
Fringed Bag-Religion
Necklaces-River Island

I'm trying to post as reguarly as possible (the success of that however is debatable) so if posts appear brief and slightly rushed, then I apologise.

Today I did the unexpected....I wore my hair down. What d'u want Emily, a medal?.
For those of you that follow/read my blog (repeated thank you's), I think it's probably fair to say that when it comes to hair styles I don't branch out any further than a bun on top of my head, maybe the occassional ponytail if i'm feeling adventurous. This is due half to the fact that I am extremely lazy -my natural hair is really curly so wearing it down requires planning the night before (yes it's that serious) - and secondly because I really don't think I suit my hair or hair in general for that matter,(that's not a moment of maddness, I do genuinely think that) and if i could do an Amber Rose then I quite happily would. But to conclude this pointless, somewhat confusing ramble, what i'm trying to say is that I'm going to try and pay a bit more attention to my hair, starting with a good ol' change of colour.

Corduroy & Velvet

Blouse with floral applique detailing- Used to be my Mum's
PeterPan Collar Blouse- Topshop
Corduroy Skirt- Monki
Oversized jacket- Charity shop
Faux fur stole- H&M
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell
Bag- Miu Miu
Cross Necklaces- River Island

So I probably should of sorted out the gold choker necklace before taking these photos, the lop-sided look isn't doing me any favours haha.

Being a terrible blogger lately you'd think that the only positive outcome would be that it would give me a lot to blog about when I do actually find the time, wrong. Sat with a frazzled brain and trying ever so hard not to ramble on illiterately about nothing is the only thing which is happening right now.

A Not So Guilty Little Haul...

The title says it all, I'm really not feeling guilty. This is partly due to the fact i've been working extra shifts through these holidays (which i've concluded will also make up for the spent money that was quickly, smoothly and painlessly-not even a second thought- removed from my bank account, come pay day) and also because these purchases are quite honestly beautiful. If I'm going down to London I need to have great outfits as well as the $$ right ?!...right.

Glitter Socks & Turtle Neck: Urban Outfitters
Despite lusting over these glitter socks for a while, i'm one of those people who is extremely reluctant to spend money on the little, yet significant pieces that can make an outfit, e.g. hoisery, and accessories; often going backwards and forwards to the stand in the store until I decide that I can't be bothered buying them (this has become a never ending cyle of regret everytime I go shopping,  perpetuated by my own cba'ness and adverse to spending money on such things). But now I can finally say, socks and chunky sandals here I come!...
Being an obsessive sartorial hoarder of any garment which posesses a turtle neck, I'm continuously on the lookout for the perfect top (despite probably already having 7 other look-a-likes in my wardrobe). When I saw this in UO it was pretty much love at first sight; with it's somewhat sporty/'gymming it' aesthetic and perfect material it couldn't not be a new edition to my wardrobe. Admittedly, already owning Topshops lycra version, I much prefer this one. (They also do it in other colours- black, white, ect.).

Leather Effect Skirt in Maroon : Zara

Being a lover of leather, midi skirts and vampy shades, this skirt is what I like to call 'a God send'.
(The UO turtle neck looks great with it too)

White Quilted Top with Embellished Neck: Zara
Given the pre-established White Trend for S/S'13 is defintely in the run up as being one of my favourites, I couldn't not leave the store without this beauty. With it's quilted center front and side front panels adorned in rose etchings, complete with an embellished neck make it truly perfect, and if I do say so myself, give it a designer quality.

Short Jacquard Cardigan: Zara

Dreamy, oh so dreamy.

Before I finish this post, I'd just like to apologise (again) for being a terrible blogger.

Have you made any amazing purchases recently?

Red Leopard

Faux Leopard coat - New Look
Red Vintage Jaeger jacket- Used to be my Mum's
Leather Gilet- H&M
Tee-Ebay
Skirt-Ark
Shoes-Jeffrey Campbell
Gold chain necklace- Primark
Clutch- Louis Vuitton

ALOHA guys and dolls. I'm in good ol' friday night spirits and the fact I now have a week off is greatly appreciated...and needed.

I got this jacket the other day off my mum, well, as always it was more of me going searching through her old wardrobe on a hunt for beautiful little treasures rather than her open heartedly giving it to me. When I saw it, it was too perfect not to run and beg her to let me have it; the bright red lipstick hue with the shape and cut of it won me over instantly.
Wearing it today, I paired it with my leather gilet, celine tee (fake it until you make it ha..ha....sob), my leather skater skirt and faux leopard coat.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend.

Gold Chain and Purple

Parka- River Island
Cardigan (Worn as Jumper)- Vintage
Skirt-Vintage stall at Clothes Show Live
Shoes-Jeffrey Campbell
Necklace-Used to be my Gran's

Today's outfit is simply the outcome of repeatedly ignoring my alarm.

Despite having this parka for over a year, I don't think I've actually photographed it in a post before. Which is suprising taking into account the amount of horrible weather we've been having and considering it's the only coat I have which has a hood....

I don't really have anything interesting to report, other than tell you repeatedly how stressed I am with the amount of work/deadlines I have at the moment and moan about how tired I am right now; however I do apologise (again) for my inconsistent blogging.
Before my battle of trying to keep my eyes open, and to not sound illiterate as I write this is lost, i'd just like to say thank you to all the new people who have just started following my blog.
I think I'll end this post here.

A Pop of Colour

Turtleneck black crop top - Topshop
Blazer-Oasis
Leather gilet-H&M
Yellow Skirt-Topshop
Shoes-Jeffrey Campbell
Fringed Bag-Religion

What better way to transform what could've been an all black outfit than with a little pop of colour.
In an (extremely) soft material with drawstring waistband feature, this colour blocking yellow skirt from Topshop is perfect.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Cobalt Blue knitted jumper top- H&M
Skirt- Used to be my Mum's
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell
Bag- TK Maxx

I'm back to old habits, and beginning this post on an apology. That apology being for the not so frequent blog posts; i've been stressed with deadlines, and preparing my work for art college interviews....on the plus side I managed to get an unconditional after my first interview of the art colleges I applied to.

What with it being so cold recently, I think I picked a good time to embrace/develop an obsession with layering. Wearing an outfit comprised mainly of hand-me-downs (pause, does that phrase even count if I went raiding through old wardrobes to gift myself with half of it??) and a few odd pieces from H&M,  I was actually able to maintain my body temperature through the great art of layering.

Another stressful month over with, and judging by the work overload I got today, February is going to be oppressed with the same worries- namely in the form of English, Art and Textiles, sigh.
However, despite my continuous glum moods, today was that little bit better, well A LOT better. Today I got Asap Rocky tickets to see him in Manchester, and I cannot wait! Is anyone else going to see him in Manchester or anywhere else?

Admittedly, because i've been feeling so run down, both with stress and the terrible weather we've been having (the weather affects my mood tremendously), I haven't been putting much effort into my outfits this week- that includes sticking to a continuous all black colour palette. So today I thought I would mix it up abit, pairing this brocade jumper with my leather panel trousers. I accessorised the outfit with this gold flower necklace, as I felt it worked well with floral brocade.
This bag actually has a beautiful etching of a skeletal figure, however you can't see it on the photo's which is slightly annoying.

The other day I was lucky enough to be featured on the lovely Helena's blog as part of her monthly Style Bibles. She has such great style and is definitely one of my favourite bloggers, so I was very happy to be one of the chosen!

I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to comment/read my blog, and thank you to the people who have just started following me!
